Duran Gonzalez

Duran Gonzalez is a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering in the SAFN Lab under the supervision of Dr. Mu-Ping Nieh. His research focuses on tumor-on-a-chip systems, cancer nanomedicine, and microengineered platforms for precision diagnostics and personalized therapeutic testing, with applications in colorectal and pancreatic cancer. In parallel with his doctoral work, he is a Scientist at Encapsulate, Inc., working on patient-derived tumor models and translational oncology technologies. He received his B.A. in Biological Sciences and M.S. in Applied Genomics from the University of Connecticut.
